• SDT developed a system for the detection of HF-QCM (Quartz-crystal array) based explosives.
  • This compact low cost system has a very high sensitivity; detection rate> 99%, quick analysis process (8-26 seconds).
  • This project included vast mechanical design of a number of different systems. For example rigged, entry-level and military versions.
  • Mechanical design included a large number of miniature and reliable mechanical mechanisms with high repeatability.
  • Multidisciplinary design which include accurate micro-electromechanical drive systems, linear and rotational systems.• Cost effective design of FRU (field replaceable unit) with an emphasis on fast and simple installation (idiot-proof).


The problem we faced
